This week there is news about the Government’s £1.57bn one-off investment in UK culture and the launch of a new UK Theatre Fund headed up by The Society Of London Theatre & Sam Mendes with a £500,000 donation from Netflix to help theatre workers who have been unable to support themselves through the pandemic, particularly those who have been ineligible for Government aid and have not been able to work since theatres closed.
