Interview: Callum Francis, Lola in Kinky Boots

This week we’re off to Australia to chat to Callum Francis, the only actor to have played Lola in 4 productions of Kinky Boots across 3 continents! 

Callum was part of the original West End production of Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre as a swing and 1st cover Lola. Following his time in the London production, Callum originated the role of Lola in the Australian production of Kinky Boots, winning a Helpmann Award for his performance. 

He opened the musical’s UK Tour, before making his Broadway debut as Lola in Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. 

Callum’s theatre credits also include: Collins in Rent (Sydney Opera House), Miss Saigon (Prince Edward), The Lion King (Lyceum), Ghost The Musical (Piccadilly), Hair (International Tour), Naked Boys Singing (Charing Cross Theatre) and Ultimate Broadway (Shanghai Culture Square).
